He currently works at Amazon, building agentic workflows to automate manual tasks and using tabular foundational models to prevent fraud. He obtained his Computer Science Ph.D. in the Computer Science department at University of Virginia, advised by Farzad Farnoud. His research interests focus on offline/adaptive learning policies for rankings in preferential systems, with optional heterogeneity on information sources. He also studies chunk-based compression and deduplication methods tailored for specific data sources. Before joining UVa, he worked for a year at Momenta as a computer vision scientist, developing and deploying traffic light/sign detection and recognition systems for autonomous driving cars. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Zhejiang University.
